A Matt Talbot retreat is for people of all faiths and is an opportunity for recovering alcoholics to enhance their spirituality and sober way of life. The people who attend these retreats are all recovering alcoholics and attend the 12-step program through AA. It is a fellowship with a common bond in our Lord where you can share and receive help and support spiritually and to receive strength from each other and from God.
A Retreat Master, who is often a recovering alcoholic and trained in spiritual matters, provides conferences on various topics several times during the weekend, bringing valuable insights into the spiritual element of the disease of alcoholism. The Matt Talbot retreat is private, and everything is confidential. There is no affiliation between AA and Matt Talbot Retreats; however, Matt Talbot Retreats are intended to foster and enhance spiritual recovery as suggested by AA's Twelve-Step Program.
